I wish this type of opportunity was in place when I was coming up. For those kids that have the opportunity to compete at the highest level, it's good that a structure will be in place to guide their success from day one.

If they opt to stay in school and play club soccer, they should.

But, the fact this is being put into place makes me think we're starting to take soccer seriously in this country (thanks JK).
