I've always felt we're living in an incredible time for education. I mean, you can learn just about anything via the web. Motivation has always been a challenge to get going, but we had costs, and time, and prerequisites that we could blame on not moving forward. Now? Nope, it's just motivation.
So, last night I attended Nate's class: Teaching Yourself to Code for N00bs and "Product People", with the goal to begin learning something that would benefit my "product people" side.
I don't know where this will all lead, but I'm pretty excited about learning something new. This morning, I'm looking at how I can tie my development environment from the Mac Mini (terminal) to the iPad (Textastic) via DropBox. Next, I'll hook in Git so I can code collaborate with my pal Mike.
Kinda sounds like I know what I'm talking about. Not yet.
Oh, by the way, that's an important piece. I don't think I'd be this excited if I didn't have a pal like Mike. That was a point made last night. If you have someone that you can bounce some questions off, it'll make things a lot easier.
And with that, I'm off...
