One thing. Every day. Delivered at 6:00 am US-Eastern.
From the stuff I consume.
I learned young that it was impolite to point when a naked man passed by, groceries in hand. If someone wanted to travel by unicycle or be a white person with dreadlocks or raise a child communally among a group of gays or live on a boat or start a ridiculous-sounding company, that was just fine.
Having lived in San Francisco for nearly a decade and in the Bay Area for much longer, the things we saw and experienced in San Francisco still perplex us to this day. From the shoeshine guy ("How do you look?) to the Galaxy Sign Guy, everyone just fit in.
A terrific way to understand so many cultures.
