When we moved to Montana and bought our first car in nearly two decades, we were delighted at how far the process in maintaining the car was.

The one thing...

Getting stuck sucks.

What's being said...

But they also were relying on antiquated systems that didn’t seem to involve any of the cameras or facial recognition software familiar to anyone who’s boarded an international flight from a U.S. airport.

My take...

Whether it's stuck overseas getting home or stuck on the phone because the IRS system is overloaded, the federal government is failing.

We didn't own a car when we lived in New York. And we didn't need to.

When we moved to Montana and bought our first car in nearly two decades, we were delighted at how far the process in maintaining the car was.

From paying at the pump with your phone to paying parking meters with an app, the experience was surprisingly good.

Yet, when we think about how the federal government seemingly wastes away its technology infrastructure, it's disappointing.
